The Malta Permanent Residence Programme (MPRP) offers third-country nationals and their families a secure and reputable route to obtain permanent residency in Malta, a full EU and Schengen member state. It is ideal for individuals seeking a safe, high-quality living environment with the flexibility to live in Malta or simply maintain residency status while residing elsewhere.

Approved applicants receive a renewable five-year residence card and a Certificate of Residence confirming their indefinite right to reside in Malta. The programme also grants visa-free travel across the Schengen Area for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Importantly, there is no physical stay requirement, though applicants may choose to reside in Malta at any time.
